God in You

in the generous life

Once in a while you hear about my “day job.” I work for House2House, a resource ministry for those who are looking for a more organic expression of the body of Christ. When I started working for this ministry, my bosses where a couple of friends, Tony and Felicity Dale (now I have an Executive Director and a Board to report to).

Over the years Tony and Felicity have had significant impact on my life (honestly, that seems like a gross understatement) and so I was delighted when Felicity started a blog awhile back. She’s one of those “quiet ones” that you need to watch because there is great stuff bubbling under the surface. Her recent post put me in tears (of the good kind), so I am passing on a link and imbedding the clip here.

Power in an Unlikely Package by Felicity Dale

There is great wealth in you. Let God into the “pages” of your life.

Congratulations, Fawn (of the Happy Wives Club), for winning the About.com 2012 Marriage Readers’ Choice Award Winners!

Patty, of Assume Love, has a wonderful article on When to Fix a Failing Marriage  (I would have titled it When and How to Fix a Failing Marriage, but then she didn’t ask me.)  Great stuff!

Thank you so much for this post. I have watched my husband get door after door closed in his face because he doesn’t look like what ppl want or because of his past. I was just beginning to wonder what’s the point in him going forward but then I got this email. My hope has been rekindled a little today because of this.

Thank you for sharing your friend Felicity. (I cried too.)

As I watched this video I was in total awe and I cried also. It is a shame that we judge people by the outside and we dont take the time to get to know the person on the inside. Thank God that God loves is unconditional.

Thank you so much, Lori! That is so kind of you to include a note about the Happy Wives Club award here. When I saw the title of this post I immediately thought about the message today from Kay Warren. Keith and I visited Saddleback Church and Rick’s wife spoke and what a powerful message it was. A reminder that we are jars of clay and God in us is who must shine bright.
