Accountability Redux

in the generous life

My husband wrote a very good post about Accountability.  Here is a small portion.

I deeply appreciate these brothers and others like them, who hear what is happening in my life and make efforts to check up on me and to hold me accountable. If I were working on something specific in my marriage, I would share it with a man like this knowing that he was going to check up on me. I want that kind of accountability.

Do you have a good friend or two that you can trust with the workings of your life? I have a friend that I meet with weekly and we ask each other the hard questions and pray for each other as we grow and (hopefully) mature. If you don’t have such a friend, do begin to pray for one. They are invaluable.

A friend of mine says, “It’s OK to have a second thought, if you don’t like the first one.”  Burnt Peas  I like the way Patty says it too. “You are free to take another spin.” (from Too Darn Happy)

Not directly marriage related, but certainly sanity related (which is important in keeping your marriage alive, right?) ~ 28 Ideas for Connecting with God — When your Brain Won’t Quiet Down  I really liked this post, lots of great ideas. (from Mom Life Today)
