Bedroom Check

February 27, 2012

in the generous life

Time for another bedroom check, gals.

Reduce your clutter.  Clean and straighten all the items in your room.  Change the sheets. Do something to make the ambiance of the room more restful and welcoming.  Do you and your husband like your bedroom?  Is the arrangement of furniture awkward or inconvenient?  Do you need different or better lighting?

Make your bedroom a special place for the two of you.

Your love is my light, sun of all my mornings, fire of all my nights.  Author Unknown

More to ponder ~ 3 Ways to Make Your Husband Easier to Love (from Assume Love)

I love Michael Hyatt’s blog.  I was behind in my reading, so I was skipping around reading this and that, and ran across his free e-book.  Creating Your Personal Life Plan  I downloaded it and found it to be a great resource.

OMGosh! Yes! We just moved and I have been determined to keep our bedroom clutter free. I can not wait to hang things on the wall and even change up the color scheme a bit. We went through some boxes recently and I found that whenever there was stuff out in the bedroom I avoided going in there. Intimacy is hindered too when there is stuff all over. My mind is going through the list of distractions of what I need to clean, or “ugh I hate placement of ….” whatever it may be. It is a simple thing but huge to the health of my state of mind when I am in there as a retreat with my husband, myself or with God.

Awesome and exactly what we did all afternoon yesterday. Rehung some accents, thoroughly cleaned and cleaned out stuff and hauled it off. Feel like it is a romantic and intimate escape for us to reconnect and be one with God! Still adding warm touches like candles soft music comfy pillows…..

Keep up these awesome posts with awesome ideas!!!!

I love this post! Totally agree with the others that if my room doesn’t feel clean and organized, I don’t feel totally comfortable in it. Thanks for the post Lori :)
