Pantry List for Him

For grocery shopping my husband and I have developed a pantry list (we both cook).  Generally speaking if we have those things in the house, we can pull together any number of meals.  We run down the list before heading out and shop to intelligently fill our pantry, fridge and freezer.  We actually get what we need, we tend to be more thrifty and we can plan for a bit of creative fun in the kitchen.

Why not create a "pantry list" of things that you can keep on hand to bless your husband?  Check the list before shopping and know that you have what you need to bless your husband at a moment's notice.  This can be anything from "things he commonly runs out of" to "massage oil" to "his favorite cookies".

Plan to bless your husband on a regular basis.

  1. I love this tip. So many times I hear great couples fight over running out of something and it always seems to be the other person’s fault. I hate coffee, but my husband loves it. I always make sure I have 2 cans in the house. The one he is working on and an extra. When I see the one he’s been working on has been emptied, I know its time to add it to the list. I don’t use it daily, so I have no clue when he’s running low. By always staying one can ahead, I have time before he’s completely out. Saves money, time, and arguements by doing something as easy as storing a can of coffee.

  4. I love this! Our special whole bean, organic free trade coffee from Trader Joe’s is love fest waiting to happen. (and how can you live in Washington state and hate coffee???) Anyway I can’t help but think that if I REALLY want to send The Sailor into the land of bliss, all I have to do is ORGANIZE the pantry. I know lots of your readers are naturally very organized, but that is not my spiritual gift! So it shows that I care about some little thing that matters to him. (and if I follow the little labels he put on the shelves to help me, he will reward me with great pleasure!)
