Rise and Shine

in the generous life

Help your husband start his day off right.

I don’t know about y’all, but the first moments of my morning can significantly effect the rest of my day (waking to chaos is not my favorite thing).  So give it some thought.  What can you do or say that will bless your husband?  A little kiss?  A soft word of appreciation or encouragement?  Help him find his glasses without rolling your eyes?

Give him a warm and caring start to his day.

Be pleasant until ten o’clock in the morning and the rest of the day will take care of itself.   Elbert Hubbard

My husband is the one that has to help me find my glasses! Seriously though, good post, thanks for the reminder :)

My husband loves it when I make his coffee and bring it to him. And today is National Compliment Day – throw in a few of those and your day will surely be better for both of you!
Blessings,
Debi

Ugggh, I am so not a morning person. We have agreed to a one hour rule after waking up, for no serious talking or making fun of me (in a good way), only mellow happy stuff.

I do understand. I’m the non-morning person in our marriage. Paul, on the other hand, is a words of affirmation person. I can put a dent in his day by being verbally short with him first thing in the morning. It really pays to be a student of your spouse, so you understand what will bless/harm them and act accordingly.
