Think it Through

in the generous life

What do you need to grow in your marriage? Really, I’m asking honestly.

Do you need to spend more time with your husband?  Do you need to read a couple of marriage books for a little “continuing education”?  Do you need to be more careful about how you speak? Do you need counseling?  Do you need to find another couple or two to just hang out with and be friends?  Where do you feel a lack?  What are the problems?

Discuss it with your husband.  Talk through all the issues, get practical and make specific plans.

A goal without a plan is just a wish. Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Assume Love has a nice post about Third Alternatives ~ Find Third Alternatives: Better Brainstorms  When you are trying to work things out with your sweetie it usually boils down to two opinions.  Take the time to find a third alternative or fourth!

A great resource book (that I am reading right now) is The 3rd Alternative (aff link) by Stephen R. Covey.  I am totally stoked about this concept.  It keeps people creative and open to other options when working through problems.
