The Power of Generosity

December 18, 2011

in the generous life

I was watching a video on Michael Hyatt’s blog earlier today and a particular phrase stood out to me.

As we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the the same.

I think that for me this is the power of being generous.  Generosity is so other worldly that it tears at “normal” life and gives people an opportunity for change.  It infects others with hope and the possibility of something better, something more.  It’s a heart call to truly live in the fullness of who we are designed to be.

This holiday season, be generous to your sweetie (to your family, friends, and neighbors too!)  Be a light and give others permission to shine as well.

Give! Give the love you have received to those around you. You must love with your time, your hands, and your hearts. Mother Teresa
