More Touch

in the generous life

It can be easy to get into a rut when it comes to touch.

Hug.
Peck on the lips.
Pat shoulder as you walk past.
Hug.
Hug.
Kiss.

Why not consider all of your husband’s body and enjoy it?

Stroke his hair or ear when you kiss (hey, kiss his ear).  Rub his back a bit when you walk by.  Grab his feet for a bit of a massage (calves too, if you like) or sit next to him and hold his hand (stroke his fingers individually to create a little fire for later).

Make a point of touching your husband in a number of places (there’s a lot of nice skin there).  This kind of thing doesn’t take much extra energy or planning.  That’s a lot of return on your investment.

His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as its cedars.  His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely.  Song of Songs 5:15b-16a  NIV

You’re right! A gentle touch, the spontaneity of a soft caress is sometimes better than a thousand words!
