Hey, y’all. Don’t forget to add your comment to the recent post Invitation to Sex + a Contest to be eligible to win a copy of Stripped Down: 13 Keys to Unlocking Intimacy in Your Marriage (aff link). I’ll announce two winners with Monday’s tip.
I’m going to do another nag about hobbies. They can be a remarkable part of your life. They offer personal fulfillment and recreation and they can offer great couple time, whether you and your husband share the hobby or share with each other about what you are doing with individual hobbies. It’s all good. It’s the stuff of which life is made.
My hobbies are: anything creative (I’m thinking maybe a mosaic and a bit of work with resin over the winter), reading (love my Kindle), writing (working on an e-book), gardening (I always enjoy getting seed catalogs in the cold of winter), and soon I’ll be learning to play the violin (in talking, my husband, son and I found out that we all like that instrument so we are gifting our family with a violin for Christmas).
What are your hobbies? (please add as a comment to help the rest of us with ideas)
Is there something that you and your husband both enjoy doing?
Could it be made into a hobby?
If you’re not sure what to do, why not ask all your friends what their hobbies are. Most folks are happy to teach you what they know so you would have ready made teachers. It’s also lovely to have folks who know the ropes so that they can help you avoid the ick and enjoy the ah, as some hobbies have a bit of a learning curve (my first crochet project was … sad).
