Bed Warmer

in the generous life

© Amoklv | Dreamstime.comIt’s getting real cold here at night (Washington, USA) and I have to tell you those cool temperatures can put the kabosh on sex (nothing sexy about a blue woman with chattering teeth).

So I’m taking the practical offensive with this problem.  Next time I’m in town, I’ll look for some pretty socks.  Just yesterday we rolled out the small space heater.  It can take the chill out of a room fairly quickly and you don’t have to heat the whole house to get the amount of warm you need to shed some clothes.  Of course, you could also put on warmer bed covers and make love “Hollywood style.”

It’s OK to be practical about your physical needs when it comes to sex.

Chill air and wintry winds!  My ear has grown familiar with your song…  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I like to put an electric blanket on my bed in the winter and turn it on before we get into bed. :)

Hollywood style? Does that mean under the covers? That’s the way we usually have to do it, since I’m often cold, and the warm season is relatively short here in Ukraine. (Especially from my point of view, since I was born in Hawaii and raised in Southern California!)

@Sharon Yup, under the covers. Wow, the Ukraine. I’m going to stop complaining about the cold and snow here.

@Emily Yes, electric blankets. I think at one point I had an electric mattress pad. It was very nice.

I tend to think that the cold leads to more snuggling and snuggling leads to more…ahem… ;)
