Those Little Things

For you, Paul.

My husband and I leave little things around for each other to find.  We might leave a little note or a piece of candy.  One day I found a paperclip bent into the shape of a heart next to my keyboard.  It’s become quite the game to come up with creative items and fun ways of leaving them out to be found.

For those who have husbands with the “gifts” love language, this is ideal.  It’s a little treat that says “I love you” or “I’m thinking of you.”

The approaching holidays make this kind of gift giving easier.  There are many small items for sale (called stocking stuffers).  Buy up now for the following year.  Browse through his favorite stores with “small” in mind as well.  Don’t forget “homemade” or “found” items either.  A muffin fresh out of the oven or a pretty stone can be lovely gifts.

If you add a little to a little and do this often, soon the little will become great. Hesiod

Very sweet idea. Some of the better known gifts have been the small things I’ve received over the years…that special card that says it all, a surprise brunch or the wonderful cookies from the gourmet store….it’s those little things!

Thanks for sharing
