A tweet from @OneFleshMarriage:

The greatest enemy of the Great Marriage you want, is the average marriage you have. Growing intimacy takes risk.

I have heard a bazillion comments lately about change, growth and risk.  (I’m beginning to suspect that God is trying to tell me something.)

The point being that, as people of God, we need to allow God to change us and grow us up.  It is risky in the sense that there will be bumps and scrapes along the way, with the occasional awkwardness and failure, but the potential for greatness makes it worth it.  Wouldn’t it be amazing if we all had Great Marriages.  What would that say to the world about the God we serve?

What could you do today that would improve your marriage?  Can’t think of anything?  Go through The Generous Wife archives (part way down the right column) and pick out a tip to try or read a good marriage book (aff link) and begin to do what the book suggests.

Be generous!  Lori <><
