For Just the Two of You

in the generous life

(Interesting post by The Generous Husband about meeting marriage bloggers on our recent travels.)

My husband and I are friends with another couple that we join for dinner on occasion.  We always eat at the same restaurant (because the other gentleman just loves it and it’s a buffet, you can find something that you like).  We always joke about dinner – same bat place, same bat time?

Really though, it’s those kinds of things that bond folks together and help you remember the good.  Why not do the same with your sweetie?  Have a restaurant that is “your” restaurant or find a song that is “your” song.  Look for things, silly or serious, that you can share just with your husband.

Things gain meaning by being used in a shared experience or joint action. John Dewey
