Fellowship Outside the Box

in the generous life

© Gualtiero Boffi | Dreamstime.comI’m all for regular fellowship with other believers.  However … I think we need more than just a Sunday sit down and a few how-de-do’s.  I encourage y’all to be intentional about hanging out with other believers during your week.  Invite a friend over for coffee (be sure to ask her what she needs prayer for before she leaves).  Invite a couple over for dinner and a movie (discuss afterward – what stood out to you? will this affect how to see life/act/think?).  Gather friends for a game night or a book study.  Find a mentor or be a mentor to a new believer. Love on your kids’ friends (kids can be believers too) or create a mom’s group in the park.  Who do you know?  What activities can you do with them?

It isn’t enough to think outside the box. Thinking is passive. Get used to acting outside the box.  Tim Ferriss
