What’s in Your Wallet?

in the generous life

© Andi Berger | Dreamstime.comAsk your husband to sit down with you and take a moment to clean out your wallets.  Are your important paper bits current?  Are all your bits usable (do you need to reissue a card or do you need to get a PIN number)?  Toss the junk.  Add a couple of family pictures.  While you’re at it, do you have all the phone numbers you need?  Update your phone/address book or the contact info you keep on your phone (do you have the phone number for your kids’ school? piano teacher? road service?).  Think through possible situations and make sure that you both have what you need to take care of the emergencies and crazy circumstances that life can throw at you.

In addition to cleaning out your wallet would be make a list that stays at the house of all your card numbers and the phone numbers to contact the companies if your wallet is lost or stolen. Then you can quickly contact everyone necessary to cancel cards etc.
