More Movies

in the generous life

Congratulations Gina D!  You won a copy of Scream Free Marriage in the “accountability question” contest by being the 18th poster.

Do you and your husband have a favorite movie trilogy?  Why not ask your husband to a movie marathon or a series of movie nights?  Make yourselves comfortable and have movie treats on hand.

No favorite trilogy?  Think about movies in a theme, like pirate movies or movies set in Egypt.  Still stuck for movie ideas?  Check out what generous wives recommend – Movie Night Movies.

Every great film should seem new every time you see it.  Roger Ebert

My husband and I are all about movie marathons.. Once a month we pick a day and do nothing but watch a movie marathon.. We love Kung Fu movies especially Jet Li,so we will watch all the jet Li movie we can find,or we choose a Pixar marathon,etc.. But I think our favorite would have to be a Tim Burton marathon :)
It’s a great opportunity to spend a lazy day on the couch with your hubby :)

We have a tradition that involves watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy during the week after Christmas, with an epic late-night Return of the King extended edition viewing on New Year’s Eve. This is an awesome tradition. It allows us to be at home (no babysitter fees!), to wear our pajamas, to pork out on summer sausage and cake balls, and to geek out with our Middle-Earth loving selves.

Oh yeah. Can’t wait. Only a few more months . . . :)

Thanks for the movie night ideas! I’ve got a related post coming up and plan to link to your movie night movies so readers can get these great ideas. Despite the comedy in my blog, I actually enjoy action movies: Spiderman, X-Men, The Mummy, Terminator, etc. I also enjoy classic movies A LOT! Just about everything with Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Katherine Hepburn, William Holden, Gene Kelly, or Myrna Loy and/or directed by Alfred Hitchcock is worth watching.
