in the generous life

Finances are one of top reasons that couples argue and struggle in their marriages.  I’m deeply practical.  If you have a problem, deal with it head on.  Look for resources, talk to people who have it together financially, etc.  Learn about and be intentional about fixing your finances.

Yes, I know, it’s easier said than done.  Really, I do understand.  Finances have been an ongoing issue in my marriage because my husband and I deal with spending and saving so differently.  But we keep trying.  We are learning to work with each other better and learning skills as we go along.

I would like to encourage everyone to check out this resource.  Dave Ramsey’s The Great Recovery  The video is 50 minutes long (yes, 50, but there is a 1 minute clip here).  The site has many resources and, of course, I highly recommend his book.  The Total Money Makeover

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV
