Seth Godin had an interesting post. He said [Lori’s paraphrase] that instead of chasing the standard that your business field, competitors, and critics are touting, do the work that your customers are really hungry for.
I think that translates well to marriage concepts. Instead of chasing the standards of our culture (even sometimes our church), do the work that your husband and family are really hungry for. Your marriage and family life is unique to you and yours. Don’t let the cookie cutter standards of our world own you. Instead know and love your family. Be unique and bless your family.
It is our uniqueness that gives freshness and vitality to a relationship. James Dobson
