That Shirt

in the generous life

© Stepan Kildishev | Dreamstime.comI just ironed one of my husband’s favorite shirts.  It’s unique (he thinks it’s funny, I think it’s, hmmm … ugly).  I’m trying not to be grumpy about my time use and the fact that I really don’t like that shirt.  Bottom line – he loves it and life will not end if he wears an ugly shirt.  I iron the clothes I like.  It’s not that big of a deal to iron something I don’t like, especially given that it pleases my hubby.  He’s worth it.  So I’m over it (mostly).

My husband wears all plaid shirts (eh…okay) or Hawaiian shirts, depending if he’s going to work that day. I’m not crazy about em either, but I wash them. And I make sure his plain white shirt is hung up in his closet so he can see it. That shirt is YUMMY on him!

LOL! My husband had alot of clothes I didn’t care for, however, lately I’ve been buying him replacements when I shop for the kids or myself. So far it’s been working, and he likes everything so far…

I also stumbled across the Marriage Work website… I’ve directed many of my post to that website. I like yours as well.

My dh has a shirt I really don’t like. I do wash it for him, but ironing doesn’t happen much around here. I use the pull-it-out-of-the-dryer-quickly-and-give-it-a-shake method!

You’re right – the world won’t end if he wears an ugly shirt.
