Take Aim

in the generous life

I’ve been following Marriage Works! on Twitter for a while now.  They had an interesting tweet this morning.

Develop a “marriage sentence” that defines your intentions with your spouse. E.g., Kevin’s is, “I partner with Cetelia to create life.”

I love this sort of thing because if you have an idea of where you are going, you are likely to get there.  If you don’t, you tend to wander.  You could make a sentence of intent toward your spouse (My intention is to bring good to my husband all the day of his life.) or you could discuss it and make a sentence that reflects your life intent as a couple (haven’t had time to snag my husband for a bit of talk time yet).

While you’re thinking, do click on over to the Marriage Works blog.  They have some marvelous posts (you’re likely to see some of them listed soon in the Saturday Roundup of “Links to Blog Posts That Stood Out to Me This Last Week.”).

If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.  Author Unknown

Great post Lori… and I agree with you about Marriage Works! They are such tremendous advocates for healthy marriage. So encouraging to read posts from them, you and others who are champions for not just existing in a marriage, but thriving and growing and learning. Thanks again…
