Move Those Feet

in the generous life

A number of folks from our church went hiking today (the weather was lovely). I think something like that is great couple time and with the benefit of exercise too!

Why not find ways to exercise with your husband? Yes, it will be a bit challenging because of the physical differences, but you could golf together, hike together, or play Wii together (aff link – there are all kinds of activity games). In a pinch you can hold each others’ feet for sit ups/crunches.

Walking gets the feet moving, the blood moving, the mind moving.  And movement is life. Carrie Latet

One of the best anniversary gifts I ever got for hubby and me was a membership to our local gym. It stayed open late, and after we got the little kids to sleep, we’d leave the teen daughter in charge, take our cell phone with us (it was right up the road) and go for a swim.
The pool and hot tub were usually deserted at that hour, and we felt like kids again racing each other (he could swim faster but I could run through the water faster!) and splashing at each other. Then we’d wind down in the hot tub before coming home and going to bed.
