My husband has had some really brutal days lately. Work has been deeply challenging, a few difficulties flew out of left field and hit him in the head, and we both got head colds. He’s handled it very well, but I can tell that the stress has been high. There’s nothing I can do to help with the problems, but I did give him extra hugs and commiserated with him over the difficulties. Sometimes just being aware that he is having a bad day is encouragement enough (though ice cream helps).
Be aware of your husband’s stress levels. Let him know that you are aware and that you care.
