If your husband has “Gifts” as a love language, you really need to listen up. Gifts don’t have to be big, but they do need to be fairly personal. If you must buy him a tie, buy one his favorite color. If he’s into gardening, buy seeds for an heirloom variety of tomato. If he’s into sports, get him a coffee mug with his favorite team label. If he loves a particular cookie, bake up a batch and have it delivered to him at work. The idea is to know him and gift him according to his preferences. If money is an issue you can give services. Coupons are great for this. Give him a “wash you car” or “dessert of your choice” coupon.
Give something that wasn’t expected. John Madden
