Stay Focused

in the generous life

(For you moms, here is a link to a guest post I wrote for The Confident Mom’s blog – Read Me a Lifetime of Adventure.)

*** 12 days until Valentine’s Day ***

One way to grab your husband’s attention is to slow your speech down and speak slightly quieter than normal.  It feels like you are drawing him in and has a very sensual edge to it.  You can add to that sensual edge by being focused on him (look at his face rather than at your hands folding the laundry) or by touching yourself as you talk (even something as simple as a finger stroke down your cheek and across your lower lip).  You’re drawing his attention back to you and creating an intimate moment where you “see each other.”

What a great idea, Lori! I can’t wait to try it. I tend to talk really, really fast and have to make myself slow down sometimes. But, I never thought about trying what you wrote.

Also, great article on “The Confident Mom”‘s site. We used to read on long trips, but we don’t take many long trips anymore. I was thinking this morning about having a reading time after our evening meal. It’s a great way to connect.
