Dream a Little Dream

in the generous life

I’ve been thinking a bit more about dreams and hopes.  It’s good to have couple and family goals as well as personal goals.

My husband and I have a “bucket list” (things we want to do before we kick the bucket).  Some are individual goals (I want to have an organized craft room so that I can be creative when I have a few moments) and some are couple goals (we have a rough list of books we want to write).

I encourage y’all to spend time with your husband dreaming.  It good couple time, it’s a way of encouraging each other, it builds intimacy and with a bit of planning and lot of hard work, you can make some of those dreams happen.  The world needs your dreams and your giftedness.

Remember to always dream. More importantly, work hard to make those dreams come true and never give up.   Dr. Robert D. Ballard

My husband and I have a ‘dream board’ which is a little notice board of pictures and reminders of the things we hope to see happen for ourselves and for our kids. It’s only a fairly new addition to our house but it definitely kept us united and focused during a recent season of uncertainty.

Love this, Lori! We have our own version of The Bucket List, we call it our I.Heart.List

It is a great way to stay focused and engaged. We have had the privilege of seeing many of our lifelong dreams come true. We recently had a conversation about “What’s Next?” It’s wonderful to be at the halfway point in life – see God’s amazing faithfulness in looking back, which fuels our faith for what is yet to be. One thing is certain – God will see that every dream born of His Spirit will come to pass. What hope!
Have a wonderful weekend!

@Kirras
Love the idea of using pictures (I’m a visual kind of gal) and having the goals out where you can see them. Lori <><

@Debi
How cool to see the faithfulness of God is seeing some goals accomplished. I think we need a “bucket” journal so that we can write the fulfilment down instead of just crossing things off the list. Lori <><
