Do You Know Your Song?

in the generous life

Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.  Henry David Thoreau

I’m convinced that we cannot be truly healthy until we know who God designed us to be and what He has planned for us to do.  Living outside of that we are likely to be miserable and make a lot of costly mistakes.

What is your passion?  Pursue it.  What are your dreams?  Plan for them.  You are a unique creation and the Lord wants you to sing your song for all you are worth.  Yes, I know this season of life has you buried in diapers or caring for your aging parent, so hum your tune as you work and when life settles down a bit then sing out loudly.  (A little confused about what song to sing?  Grab a friend, pray and examine your life and giftings.  Let God help you find your song.)

Be generous!  Lori <><

This GW tip really blessed me today. I love the first paragraph, especially. Reminds me of one of those great quotes that you just love. Thank you so much.

Never left a comment on here before, but just had to say this was SO exactly what I needed today. I’ve been so discouraged lately because I’m just not getting anywhere with my passion. I needed to be reminded me that God has not given me this gift in vain.
