Happy Birthday!

in the generous life

Happy Birthday, Jesus.  I can’t even begin to list all the reasons I’m glad you were born.  I do want to tell you that I love you.  I want to know you more and better.  I want to see the world through your eyes and love people the way you love them.  Thanks so much for loving me, for being there for me, for loving and caring for those I love (and even for the ones I don’t, boy, do I need to grow up some more).  I don’t really have a gift for you personally (sorry, you’re one of those “you have everything” kind of folk), but the Word says that when I do something for “the least of these,” I’m doing it for you, so I’ll be looking for opportunities to reach out to the needy, the broken, the heartsick.  Love you.

(Why not take a few moments and give Him your birthday wishes.  You can share them as a comment, if you like.)

… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:40 NIV

Jesus, I want to tell you happy birthday. What you sacrificed for us has no comparison to anything. Even though it is your day, you are the one that has given us the most. So from my family and I, thank you for our continual blessings.

Happy Birthday, Jesus. Thank you for being willing to come down, King of all and Lord Almighty, but still willing to be born of young virgin girl. You did not despise the womb and yet my kids are grossed out by the mere mention of the word menopause. You came so helpless and small just like my newborn grandson came this month. Thank you for giving me everything: life, health, joy, loving family, and a reason to hope and look toward the future. I love you. Help me love you more.

Thank you, this is beautiful. I cried. I also pasted it on my facebook status, with your website address so that more people come here and get healed. Thank you so much.

Hey Jesus, because of you I can be joyful in any circumstance…I’m not saying that I always am but I CAN be because of you. Thank you so much for the best gift you ever gave me, the knowledge that no matter what happens to me here in this sometimes cruel world-I have a future with You forever.
I love you, and I am sorry that even though you saved my life I can be so busy that I forget to talk to you, or I rush through our conversations because I want to get to something else, thanks for loving me in spite of all that.
Happy Birthday!
