Get a Group, Get a Book

December 18, 2010

in the generous life

Over the past dozen weeks or so, my husband and I have met with a handful of other couples.  We read and discussed Stripped Down: 13 Keys to Unlocking Intimacy in Your Marriage (aff link) a chapter or two at a time.  I like the book, but IMO any marriage book that gets folks thinking about their marriage is a benefit.  In addition to learning good marriage info, you are creating a marriage friendly group (yeah! encouragement and accountability) and you are benefiting from others thoughts and experiences.  A win/win all around.

I would encourage y’all to consider doing something like this with your friends (perhaps in the New Year after the holiday chaos).

Correction does much, but encouragement does more. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
