My husband and I were out shopping today and we both noticed a number of folks who were … well, they were impatient with their spouses. I know it’s the season to be hurried and stressed, but I’m thinking our spouses are worth a little good treatment, yes, a little patience. It might be a good idea to slow down some and remember how much you really value your husband. He’s not like you. He marches to the beat of a different drummer. He’s not going to shop like you. He may not spot the deals as easily as you. He may not understand your priorities. He may be “time challenged” or “shopping challenged” or any of a host of other “challenging” differences.
Take a breath. Remember how special he is and how much you love him. Slow down. Smile. Give him a holiday kiss.
If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear. A.A. Milne
