The Blessings Jar

December 14, 2010

in the generous life

I actually got this idea from Homeschoolmarketplace.com.  Basically you get a container and leave a pen and small notebook by the container.  As you think of blessings, jot them down and tuck them in the blessings jar.  Once a year (perhaps Thanksgiving or at the end of the year) open the jar and read about all your blessings.  (Personally I don’t think I could wait until the end of the year.  I’d probably open it whenever I was down and needed a pick me up or … just because.  And, yes, I have a problem waiting for Christmas to open my gifts.)   I think the Blessings Jar (aff link) would make a great family gift or a gift for special friends.

May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through!  Author Unknown

I like that idea! It would get me focusing on the positive instead of the negative. :)

I have never thanked you for your sweet comment on my blog a while back–thank you, Lori! I felt like someone famous had written to me, and I was just tickled! I was impressed that you follow up on the ladies who comment. Thank you so much–it shows that your heart is really for ministering to us.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season!!
