Party! Party!

in the generous life

At every party there are two kinds of people – those who want to go home and those who don’t. The trouble is, they are usually married to each other. Ann Landers

We all laugh at this because we see a bit of our own marriage in it.  Just be aware of your differences during the holiday season and cut your spouse some slack.  If you are the party animal, don’t keep him out to all hours of the morning and if you are the “let’s go home” introvert, stretch a bit and stay a little longer than usual so your husband can enjoy the party.

Great thought! Another one is to encourage some “girl’s night” or “guy’s night” parties – my wife has ladies’ night, and I have poker. We both encourage and support the other in some “me” time, while still having “we” time.
