My sweetie and I have been on vacation (on the Oregon coast). We stopped in Depoe Bay to watch a sunset and got the added bonus of seeing whales. There were two and they were right up against the coastal rocks. You would see a spout (I call them snorts ala Dr. Seuss) and then they would roll up and over and down into the waves. It was amazing beautiful. That was followed up by an incredible sunset with light shining in and through the clouds, all over a rather calm ocean. We stood there transfixed by the miracles before us. I know that we will talk about it again and reshare the beauty and joy of that time together.
Now I know that is not an everyday occurrence, but there is a lot to be said for sharing a moment of beauty with your husband and I think there are lots of opportunities if we will only look for them. There are sunsets everywhere and a rainbow or two after the rain. There are small miracles in your garden and in the laughter of your children. There are concerts with beautiful music and touching stories to be read and shared.
Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Ashley Smith
