Puzzle Me This

in the generous life

A cute idea for those who have husbands who love puzzles…

Buy a small puzzle (I’ve seen them in the 10-50 piece range), put it together, flip it over and write a little love note on the back.  Take it apart, put it back in the box and wrap it as a gift with a note telling him to flip the puzzle over when he is done.

If your husband is not a puzzler, look for ways to hide love notes in and among what he does enjoy.

Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way.  Edward de Bono

I did this! :) Last week was my husband’s birthday, so I got a white heart-shaped puzzle that had about 7 or 8 pieces to it, decorated the front of the heart, flipped it over to the other side and wrote a note on it. I also attached a scrapbooking key charm to the back of the puzzle (so that it dangled downward when the puzzle was put together and he could see the key from either side). In my note, I told him that he held the key to my heart.

After I completed everything, I took the puzzle apart and put it in an envelope.

It was so fun watching him put the puzzle together!

Thanks, Lori!

Be blessed,

My husband had to travel for work, staying a few nights in a hotel. To save on expenses, I packed a cooler with bread, sandwich items, etc. for him to prepare at his hotel. I hid a little love note in between slices in the loaf of bread for him to find a couple days into his trip. :-)
