RISK (not the game)

in the generous life

My husband and son are both risk takers (it does improve one’s prayer life). Over the years I’ve come to deal with it fairly well. The risks sometimes bother me, but I’ve come to see that the risks usually are far outweighed by the good. My guys need to take risks (because of their personal make up) and, really, only with a certain amount of risk are good things accomplished.

When your husband takes a significant risk (hopefully for a good reason), encourage him regardless of whether or not it turns out well. Pat him on the back for having the courage to act or speak in challenging circumstances.

How timely this post is for me! We are on the cusp of accepting a $ offer on our house so we can move overseas (largely my husband’s dream). So I will go and commend my husband for his willingness to take this risk.

Great advice! You made me laugh about improving your prayer life.

Lauren, we lived overseas for almost 3 years and it was such a wonderful time for our family! Good luck!
