I just finished re-reading The Shack.* I was again gripped by the concept of how much God loves me and that He honestly wants to spend time with me. Amazing.
When I feel unloved, lonely, or afraid, my ability to love is diminished. When I know that God loves me deeply, I feel secure and am able to be generous and loving toward those in my life.
I encourage y’all to do what brings you into the realization of God’s love. Listening to praise music, studying your Bible, walking in the park, looking up at the stars, spending time with good friends who love to laugh or know how to pray. Whatever it is, do it … often.
What we forget is that God’s love and beauty are all around us, every day, if only we would take the time to look up and see them. Matthias
(*I am aware of the controversy over this book. I am suggesting it, not as a treatise on theology, but rather as a novel with a heart of healing and a sweet revelation of God’s love toward us.)
