Forgiveness for Sexual Sin

May 1, 2010

in the generous life

A lot of women struggle sexually because of past sexual sin.  Perhaps you had pre-marital sex with your husband or you had other lovers before marriage.  The guilt weighs on your heart and makes it hard to face being sexual, even though you have the biblical “go ahead” with your husband.

A part of the healing solution is to ask for forgiveness.  I encourage y’all to sit down with a pen and pad and write down any sexual sin and then spend some time with God confessing and letting His forgiveness settle into your heart. Then tear the list into bitty bits and toss.

You are forgiven.  If memories come up or those tapes of condemnation in your head play again, be quick to remind yourself that you are forgiven.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9  NKJV
