Same Time Next Year

in the generous life

My husband and I are going to take some time to talk about the holidays.  There are things that we liked and didn’t like about how we handled the holidays and if we don’t talk about it now and take a few notes, we’ll forget all that by the next time Christmas rolls around (and likely do the same things with the same results).

I encourage y’all to have a holiday chat too.  Give some thought to meals, decorating, gifts and activities.  What worked?  What did not?  How could you handle things differently?  Did you see something or hear about something that sounded good?  Could you reasonably do that next year?

With the holidays fresh in your memories, talk about what really had value, what you want to repeat and what you can do without next year.  Give some thought to time use and how you can spread the work load out next year to keep the holidays sane and meaningful.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Albert Einstein
