This time of year offers plenty of opportunities for volunteering. So, volunteer together. Dish up a Thanksgiving meal in a street outreach, gather and wrap gifts for the Blue (police) or Brown (sheriffs) Santa, or make some deliveries or calls for your favorite charity organization. Usher in a little holiday cheer together.
... be ready for every good deed. Titus 3:1b NAS

We love giving in any way that we can, not only because it teaches our twin son’s that you can give without having alot of money, but it teaches them about giving of themselves, and how good it feels to help those in need.
One tradition we started with the boys is that on christmas morning they pick one of their presents each from under the tree, (it stays wrapped so they will never know what they are picking) and we take it to a hospital or shelter on christmas day.
