Well Done!

in the generous life

My husband and son did a bit of demolition and then some building (a front porch/mud room area).  They were rather verbal during the process of that project and I suddenly realized that they wanted me to come and appreciate their work. Now, honestly, aren’t we all like that, just needing a little appreciation for our hard work.

Tip: Make a point of showing some appreciation and all around general approval when your husband tackles a project.  Lots of hugs and kisses are good.

Appreciation can make a day, even change a life.  Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary. Margaret Cousins

Thanks so much for this reminder. My husband has been working on restoring his 1985 Jeep the past few days and I try to make a point to be out there but I realize after your post that I REALLY need to be OOOOOing and AAAAWWWWWing over it more than I am. Sometimes I think once or twice of saying “Good Job” is enough but sometimes they need continued affirmation to keep going and complete the project. I really am proud of him and all that he is doing and I need to make sure I communicate that. Thanks!
