Travel

Filed under: acts of service, quality time — The Generous Wife @ 1:30 am

My husband and I are going to make a quick trip into Canada to visit with friends.  I'm really looking forward to it.  My husband is the impetus behind most of our travel plans (I just don't think that way), but I tend to be the practical one who gets the laundry ready and buys the mints.  :)   Mints?  Yup.  It's a bit of a family tradition for us.  We buy this humongous bag of Lifesaver mints for the road.  It wouldn't be a road trip without them.  Little "traditions" like that make for intimacy.  What kinds of traditions do you have?  Don't have any?  Next time you are going to do something with your husband, think about what would make that activity nicer.  Then when you have occasion to do that activity again, build a "tradition."

Chains do not hold a marriage together.  It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years. Simone Signoret

Near Vancouver. It was lovely (but a little warm). We got to visit with some friends who are longtime missionaries to China, home to have kiddo #1. Cute little gal who makes lots of faces and sweet sounds.
